Another neat thing about panama is just about everything can still be found hand made. My neighbor Ojer, makes the traditional drum or “tamborito” used by folk artists in this part of panama and is making a couple of drums for us to keep on the back patio. Here you see my neighbor Ninin on the drum and Yijo on the accordion at an impromptu jam session last night. What a nice evening with some wonderful people.
I am really looking forward to a few other things made from the neighborhood. Manuel will be making my cutarras soon. More on that later.
