We are 2 months now into the dry season (summer) and it is desert dry here in Panama. With only two seasons of extreme contrast, there is no easing into seasons like up north. One day the rain stopped, and we are not due for rain for about 4 months.
You can see this is already like the mountain desert countryside in the states as it is about 90° every day with no water. Around the middle of May, the rains will come and in a matter of a week everything will be jungle green.
For now the grasses are brown, but the trees are well adapted and maintain their green throughout the summer, and will even bear fruit at the end of the drought. Really cool.
