This is a tasty time of year. One of my Panama favorites, Saril, is in season.
Just peel the red leaves off the seed and boil. I like it straight, but the family likes it with ginger and sugar. Either way, this hibiscus tea treat is a super healthy anti-oxidant and good for controlling blood pressure. When you’re done, just throw the seeds out in the yard during rainy season and they grow a new bush for the next crop. I love this place! Below is the bush after being picked clean.
