Divorce Effigies?

Local superstitions and traditions here in the interior took me by surprise the other day. A local woman had to explain this one to me.   

 When a man leaves the woman, she may get taunted by neighbors hanging the spouse in effigy as if he has returned to her in tattered clothes.  He hangs there until she lights fire to it. No worries! I don’t think this will take hold in the states. Wow! Here is a vintage look   

   
Some traditions might be better off dying as well. I think I’ll watch some winter ball.  
  

Panama Zarzamora

  
Very similar to a blackberry in flavor and appearance, the Zarzamora is another great Panama treat. Sweet and just a little tart. I love this place! 

   

Panama Summer

  
Summer, or the dry season has hit panama a month early this year. It is nice and sunny and dry already, and although beautiful, farmers and ranchers are concerned it’s going to be a long time til rain falls again. 6 months is tough on cattle, and seven is almost unthinkable. Everything else is totally cool and the rivers and beaches are perfect in every way.  I love this place. Come see us.
