Panama Food Special

Panama has something ripe and ready year round. Mangos and Coconuts are ready now and the mangos  here come several varieties. This is a platano mango below.

Beef is always delicious, and here good cuts run about $2 lb. This big Brahma Bull lives next door.

Coconuts are in season too, so watch your head. These are delicious for juice and fruit.

And the platano! Year round these baby’s are a main staple in rural Panama. We eat these almost every meal as patacones or plain fried or as dessert.

The bounties of Panama are wonderful gifts. While rice and corn are the bumper crops, many many fruits are available at every turn in the road. Fresh fruit and outdoor living. I love this place!
